What's going on with the Project
The Spa Valley Railway Project Team has met to discuss the items identified by our Civil Engineering Manager in relation to "snags" with the works.
Every project like this will have some snags, it's expected. We've worked through what we would like the outcome to be.
Next we had a meeting with the Beaver Bridges Project Team, with some negotiations taking place.
It is expected that Beaver Bridges will return in the near future to complete these snags, so that we can then tidy up the area around the bridge, so it's more presentable.
On the 20th May 2026 Henry Beaver, the owner and CEO of Beaver Bridges visited me at Tunbridge Wells, along with Jon Smith, to discuss the project. This was at my invitation as Henry hadn't visited during the works and I think it's something for both our organisations to be proud of.
The opportunity was taken to visit site and discuss the snags.
I and the Spa Valley Railway are very proud of the achievement and the good working relationships between both organisations.
